CARS IN BARNS "FORGOTTEN, NEGLECTED MOPARS" PAGE
1 |
I got this from the mopars.org
Website: The car I chose to profile does not belong to me (I wish) and is NOT FOR SALE. It's a very
desirable and low production 1967 Plymouth GTX convertible with factory 426 Hemi 4 Speed and Dana 60 axle. The VIN is RS27J7______ and is just 1 of 7 built! This vehicle started it's life in Calgary, Alberta and is now about 30 miles from here. It has approximately 95,000 miles on the complete power train (all numbers match). |
.....THESE TWO BIRDS SEEM TO BE EVERYONE'S
FAVORITES, APPARENTLY THEY ARE LOCATED IN THE VICINITY OF DAYTONA SPEEDWAY.... ....Hi, I noticed you had my image on your page a long time ago. But now that it's you visitor's favorite, how about a little credit ;-). You could mention that you got it from
(http://www.net-solutions.net/~mAARk/)(Site
is not working, if you have an updated site,
please email it to us.) a great resource for AAR 'Cuda information and "how-to" on numbers matching documentation. Where did you hear they were near Daytona Speedway? (I haven't done a great job of protecting their location), you're close. I plan to go back to where they are (don't you love the secrecy ;-)) in a couple of weeks, I'll take the camera and see if I can get some more images, maybe some info from the owner (if they don't shoot first!). I'll send you the images when I get back. BTW If you didn't get them originally from my site, that's my '89 Chevy conversion van in the rear view mirror in that shot! |
SEND IN YOUR PICTURES AND TELL US THE STORIES OF THE CARS IN BARNS, DRIVEWAYS, FIELDS AND ON FRONT LAWNS , THAT CAN'T BE BOUGHT AND ARE JUST ROTTING AWAY IN THE DIRT...AND THE OWNERS ARE GONNA RESTORE THEM SOMEDAY....YEAH , RIGHT.... |
'68 HEMI ROADRUNNER.... |
THIS RUNNER HAS BEEN SITTING IN THE SAME SPOT SINCE AROUND 1986... THE CAR IS NOT FOR SALE.....IT'S A 426 HEMI / AUTOMATIC CAR WITH A DANA...... |
As if this isn't enough, its original color is Red! Some options include: Magnum 500 wheels, power disc brakes (manual steering), AM radio, light package with fender turn signal indicators, sport mirror, 3 speed wipers and tinted windshield, as well as the all-important
drive train option. Owner installed options are: tachometer, red metallic steering wheel (this car once had a 4x4 transfer case shifter for the Hemi 4 speed) and lastly a trailer hitch. As you can see by the photo, this car is parked outside year 'round - with no rear window (full of snow, rain, etc.). It hasn't been driven since the owner hit a truck about 14 years ago (1986). It is not for sale as he says he's going to restore it "someday". P.S.: The owner is a Chevy mechanic that has been offered up to $35,000 for it, but still not for sale!
