" BOWTIES IN BARNS - PAGE # 38" |
This is one of the baddest Chevy powered cars ever made. Take the time to check out this whole website to get the history. It's was almost to Chevy what the Cobra was to Ford. The car originally came with a Bill Thomas modified 327, punched out to 377 with a double Rochester fuel injection unit, this motor made a real 520 h.p. In 1963. In a car that weighed in at 1520 lbs dry. Oh my goodness. This car definitely can be classified as rotting muscle.

Below: This is a '56 Chevy Bel Air 2-door post I found in Minnesota. Way out in a field, it looked like it was totally restored from the road, it wasn't, it's just that nice of a car! The current owner is from Oklahoma, and purchased the car down there over 30 years ago! He has not driven it for the last 20 years!! Originally it was Blue and White, then painted red and
white by the previous owner. Still has the Blue interior with a red crash pad. The car is rust free, with MINT chrome and is complete, except for a hopped up Chevy
327 or 350, and beefed auto tranny w/B&M floor shifter (60's vintage!). |
Owner claims the car really went and was a blast to drive. ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT SELL, and to make it worse, has no plans of doing even one more thing with that car!! Apparently he gets offers to buy on a weekly basis! Update: after years of sitting in that field, it has vanished, no idea why or where! |
