This is my old car. I saved it back in 91. It sat for three years for sale. I'd see it and say the same thing "look at that thing a 70 just rotting away." See, I had to many cars as it was. I did finally stop and take a peek, and to my surprise it had all the SS stuff. Hmm, saw $400 on the sign, What's Up! The owner told me it was former New England
Patriot's Football player Darrell Stingley's car at the time he got hurt. They had bought it for the storage charge off the lawyer handling his case. Well, I had it for year's and did a ton to it. I hit hard time's and sold it in 98 to a guy from Ireland. He hacked a big hole in the dash for a stereo, bondo'd the hell out of it and sold it to the 16 year old kid that lives right next to me. Here it sits I can look out my window and see my old pride and joy. Sometimes at night I think I can here it rotting if I listen real hard. |

Here's one 'won't sell' story with a twist - this 1966 Pontiac GTO was sitting in the yard of its original owner for almost ten years - apparently, a lot of people asked about the car, but she would not sell it. A few weeks ago, she changed her mind and wanted it gone PRONTO. She got my name from a mutual friend and called me up out of the blue - I'd never met her or seen the car before. However, I wasted no time checking out the GTO - original A/C, tilt wheel, Rally Pack dash, and the GTO heads on a factory replacement 389
short block. It needs a lot of work, but is basically solid and complete. The kicker is what laid the car up a decade ago - the coil lead to the points had broken under the distributor. Five inches of wire later, I drove the car to the gas station! (Yes, I bought it). - Bob Stein |

ABOVE: '58 OLDSMOBILE...BELOW: Here are some pics of a
Chevy wrecking yard here in Australia. It has been going for 30+ years and is owned by a guy called Norm , a real old
time Chevy guy who hates new
cars. These are a small cross section of Impalas, Bel Airs, Biscaynes and even Chevy utility's (real early
El Camino's) A great source of parts for us to keep our Chevy's on the road. -
